Fitting Instructions
- Install the box into the wall at the specified position, ensuring it does not interfere with the damp-proof course.
- Fully embed the base and sides of the box into the mortar to secure it within the wall, with the architrave edges touching the outer brickwork.
- Fit a 0.1mm thick polythene sheet or similar damp-proof course, at least 700mm wide, above and behind the box as shown. Alternatively, a suitable cavity tray can be used.
- If a spigot is fitted, build the inner wall around it and fill any gaps between the spigot and the wall with mortar. The spigot will be cut flush with the inner wall finish by the pipework installer. (Full installation guidelines are provided with the meter box.)
